The Nelson region has repeatedly recorded New Zealand's most sunshine hours, you can enjoy the beauty of the native bush and marine life while on a guided seakayak tour of 1-5 days, or for the experienced kayaker, we have freedom rental options.
Seakayaking can be combined with walking/hiking of the Abel Tasman coastal track which is a popular option as it allows you to see the marine life, fur seals, dolphins and penguins and the native birds and plants the Abel Tasman National Park has to offer.
Our trained local seakayak and hiking guides, will show you the best there is to see from your safe and stable seakayak. You can be pampered on a fully catered tour, with local food and New Zealand wines, or supply and prepare your own favourites. Camping offers the most versatile tour, with sites on most beaches but lodge and Department of Conservation huts are available. You can Seakayak one-way and return by water taxi if limited by time.
Our company has been offering Seakayaking adventures for over 6 years so we can assure you, even if you have no previous experience, we can safely guide you. If you enjoy relaxing in the sun on the golden beaches, or trying to catch a blue cod for dinner, there is plenty of time for this each day. Group sizes are small; with an 8-1 guide ratio to ensure personal attention is given.
